Solutions > Product Catalogs & Galleries
There are obvious advantages to online product catalogs. Customers can access information about products or services from their home or office at their convenience. Online product catalogs make it easier to search, compare and share the information about your products instantaneously. In addition to the customers’ convenience, there are also clear marketing and cost-saving advantages of having an online version of your catalog.
WebNet International, Inc. will work with your company to develop a catalog that truly represents your line of products and services. A well structured and organized catalog ensures that customers have a positive experience and are able to locate and purchase desired products and services effortlessly. All products and services can be grouped into categories and sub categories and each record can contain multiple information fields such as title, code, price, description, manufacturer, UPC, etc. Additionally, every product can have a gallery of multiple images associated with it, displaying the product from different angles and zooming on different features. The product price can further be used for online purchases through the Shopping Cart and the Order Processing System, if implemented.
With the help of your website’s Administrative Console, products and categories can be updated and managed by your company through the Catalog Management System. The designated personnel at your company will be able to add, edit and delete product categories and individual products, move them within the Catalog structure and update any of the data at your convenience. The interface of the Catalog Management System is similar to the File Explorer in Microsoft Windows™, allowing users to work with multiple products and categories, just like with files and folders on your computer, including but not limited to moving, copying and pasting categories and products.
Managing your online product catalog internally allows for significant reductions in operating costs and response time, and an increase in productivity. Managing your online catalog does not require any special training or programming and can be performed by virtually anyone with basic computer and Internet skills.
Your online product catalog can be seamlessly integrated with your existing ERP solutions. The catalog solution can automatically import data from various applications to make sure that your online catalog is always up to date.
CATALOG SEARCH [Back To Top]
Your company’s online catalog can be equipped with intelligent searching capabilities, allowing your customers to search throughout the entire catalog for any specific product or category. The search engine implemented into the catalog site will conduct comprehensive keyword search in all or selected product categories, or search by individual data fields or data ranges.
IntelliSearch SM is a technology developed by WebNet International, Inc. allowing for intelligent searching capabilities. This technology is utilized by thousands of websites worldwide ranging from simple directories and product catalogs, to large online malls and e-commerce systems.
The IntelliSearch SM search technology can automatically determine the nature and the meaning behind the search criteria specified by the website user and will conduct the appropriate search providing for accurate results. Furthermore, if no exact matches can be found, the engine will look for logical similarities, common typos and other user mistakes such as missing dashes in product numbers, for example.
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT [Back To Top]
If you don’t have an existing inventory management application, WebNet can provide a cost-effective solution as part of your Product Catalog. WebNet’s state-of-the art Inventory Management System enables the website to keep track of all items in stock, by conducting automatic inventory calculations. A customizable order processing logic will ensure that the Inventory Management matches your business processes and always maintains accurate information about your products.
Backordering & Preordering
The Backordering and Preordering feature allows customers to purchase products in the Product Catalog that are either temporarily out of stock or not yet available. With this feature, if a certain product in the Product Catalog is out of stock or not available, the customer has an option to order it either by 1) paying for it in advance (in which case the product will be delivered upon its availability) or 2) by getting notified via e-mail once the product is available.
Optionally, the system can support partial Backordering or Preordering for multiple items or multiple quantities. Split shipments can be arranged when only some items or partial quantities are available immediately and the rest is backordered.
Inventory Systems Integration
The Inventory Management System seamlessly integrates with the existing inventory tracking solutions utilized by your company for the purposes of maintaining accurate inventory data across all applications.
SPECIAL PRICING [Back To Top]
The purpose of the Special Pricing feature is to allow individual customers to have different prices on specific items in the product catalog. By default, the product catalog may display the retail price for all users who are not logged in. The customer has to be logged in to view the discounted prices available to them.
Quantity Price Brackets [Back To Top]
The designated administrators of the site can set price brackets for each of the products in the Product Catalog. Price brackets will be displayed on the front-end of the website and will signify the price of the product depending on the quantity of the items purchased at one time.
Discounts & Coupons
You may apply discounts to all or selected items in the product catalog. There are two types of discounts: flat discount (i.e. $5 off) and percentage discount (i.e. 5% off). Customers receive discount based on coupon codes they enter or the discount group they belong to.
EBAY API INTEGRATION [Back To Top]
The guiding principal for successful online merchants is getting maximum exposure for your products. Offering your products through eBay™, the worlds largest online marketplace, is an unparalleled means of getting that exposure. The key to being a successful eBay merchant is a high volume of listings that may be difficult to manage manually. To help solve this problem eBay created their API (Application Program Interface), a system that enables automation of many listing lifecycle processes. WebNet International, Inc., an active member of the eBay Developer’s program, can integrate eBay API functionality with your company’s internal systems or create a custom solution, which can operate everything from inventory management to order processing, from fulfillment to customer resource management.
Integration of the eBay API will increase your revenue while decreasing operating expenses, improving the efficiency and cost effectiveness of your eBay operations in all phases of the listing lifecycle.
Furthermore, eBay API integration can also be used to quickly retrieve large amounts of information about other listings on eBay which can be automatically processed, analyzed, and presented to you in a report form which you can use to identify income opportunities. There are tons of additional applications and advantages of eBay API Integration and WebNet International, Inc. can create a modular, scalable solution tailored to your company’s needs and goals.
